How To Choose Domain Names
Domain names are used like an address to find websites on the internet. There is a lot of controversy on how to choose the best domain names. Some people think the domain names should reflect the business and some people say it doesn't matter, you only need domain names that are easy to remember. Actually both of these ideas need to be considered when you purchase a domain name.
Because domain names are only registered one time for a certain number of years you need to choose your domain names carefully. If you can find domain names to buy that are relevant, these are always a good choice. Remember though many times domain names are used in advertising that is offline and people will need to be able to remember these to type into the address bar when they are at their computer.
This is why picking domain names that are easy to remember and spell are always the best choice. Think about the confusion of using a number or a word that can be spelled multiple ways. If you do choose something that can fall into this trap always register all variations of the name so you won't lose traffic to misspellings.
There are also many extensions to choose from the .com, .info, .net, .org to name a few. Always remember most people think .com when they think internet. They can hear .org or .net and even see these extensions but type in .com out of habit. People have been trained to think .com when they think internet. Because of this it is always a good idea to get all the extensions and any possible misspellings of the name. If you don't and then build up a large traffic flow someone is bound to notice this and profit from your traffic.
Lately new extensions like .tv and .me plus recently .in is being offered. These extensions can be used in a variety of ways to complement the .com version. Many people will search for a name and find the .com is taken so they will choose the .net or .info because they were set on that particular name. This is a very unwise practice, it is best to choose an entirely different name so you can get the .com, because people will type your address into the bar with a .com and the other website will get your traffic.
Many sites that sell domain names will offer suggestions or variations to a .com name that is taken. I have often found better more relevant names using this technique. So always keep your choices open while searching and always do keyword research first to try and get domain names that contain the keyword you plan to target.

How Do I Promote My First Ebook?
'How do I promote my first ebook?' is the question that will be uppermost in your mind as soon as you have your ebook completed and ready to go.
The first thing you need is a website from which to promote your new ebook. Your site will need a sales page, a download page (this is where you will place your download link that allows customers to download your ebook and save it to their computer), and you will likely need a terms of service page and a contact page too.
Ideally, your sales copy on the sales page of your website will be keyword optimized correctly so that your site has the best chance of being found by the search engines, thus allowing you to make sales of your new ebook yourself.
One of the best ways of promoting an ebook though, is to allow other people to sell your ebook for a commission.
These people will become your affiliates and in exchange for a percentage of the sale, they will be more than happy to drive traffic to your site. This is an important way of boosting your ebook sales as this is traffic that you would not otherwise have had access to.
'How do I promote my first ebook?' is a common enough question to ask, but have you considered that there may be a better question you could be asking yourself if you really want your new ebook to fly?
How about, "How can I get joint venture partners to promote my ebook?" Do you not think that may be a better question to ask yourself?
So what is a joint venture partner?
Well, it is someone who is perhaps recognised as an authority in a particular niche. Often they will have a huge list of subscribers (very often in the thousands) who they will email on a regular basis to talk about things of interest to their subscribers.
So what do you think it would do to your income if you were able to persuade one of these authority figures to become your joint venture partner and to promote your new ebook as one of your affiliates?
It can be difficult to gain the attention of such people as they are usually inundated with people requesting that they promote a new product.
Usually these emails will go unanswered as there are just not enough hours in the day for them to answer these requests.
If they spent time answering such requests they would obviously not have the time to build their own businesses in the first place.
However, if you can find a way to get these experts to listen to your proposal, it can be more than worth the effort that this might entail!
Then the question, "How do I promote my first ebook?", will become a distant memory and you could just find that your ebook sales go through the roof!

How To Install A Paypal Button On Your Web Site!
I started my Internet Marketing business not knowing how to do it. I guess that's the way most people start. There are so many details. One of the details that really stopped me in my tracks was the little matter of getting a paypal button installed and working.
The first time or two I tried to do this I gave up in frustration and beer. But I persevered. All of a sudden one day, I got it!
And now I can make it easy for you. What's the first thing to understand? It is easy!
It began the day I decided to put up an offer I had put together, drive some traffic to it, and see if it would sell.
Maybe I'd make some money online. Sounds good, right?
One thing is for sure, you can't make any money unless you have a way to collect it! And that's Paypal.
I had an account there already, for personal reasons, but, I wanted go commercial so I had to jump through some additional hoops.
After that was over, I made my way to the main page of my account and started looking around. I found a pull down menu called "Profile". It didn't seem natural to me that paypal buttons would be under "profile", but they are, and now you know.
So I clicked on profile and it took me to a page called "profile summary". It's a busy page which had three columns of categories. You'll want to look in the right side column called "Selling Preferences".
About five lines down, there it is. You select "My saved Buttons", even if you don't have any saved buttons!
That jumps you to another page! If you look over to the right, there it is, in very small print. It's a link to "Create new button". Click it.
Now you jump to another page!
Look at Step One. I was selling a product so I left the first choice at "product".
Move down one.
The second choice is a simple yes or no. I clicked "no" because that decides to give you a "buy now" button.
Now you get to name your product. Make it simple and clear. Type it in. You can skip "item ID".
Next is the price! Be sure to get that right. Then you want to select "Secure Merchant ID". That way people can't view the source at your website, which would allow them to get your email for spam purposes!
Now you are done with creating the button, but there's more. A lot more.
With downloadable products it is typical to send your customer to a download page when they finish purchasing.
This means you better have a download page and know it's URL (address). Making a download page is a whole different article. It's been suggested that you learn a little HTML editing. I'll bet you heard it a million times. Don't worry, the basic stuff is easy.
Next is a simple but critical step. You move down, past Step Two (it doesn't apply to you) and open Step 3.
I do it this way.
1st choice - No.
2nd choice - No.
3rd choice - No.
4th choice - No.
Skip the next choice and you are at the one we care about.
This is where you put in the address (URL) of your download page. Put it in! Move down and save.
Right after saving you will be shuttled to your button's code. Copy it.
Now go to the sales page on which you want the button. What I do is find the place I want the button to be on the page and I type in "paypal button".
Now...switch to the source code of that page and find the very words you typed in and select them, and only them. Now hit paste. Remember back when you copied your button's code? This is where it goes.
Switch back to normal and...there it is! Your paypal button, right where you want it, and it works! I like to type the words "only $7" right above the button. Be sure to hit save.
Click that button to check it! It should whisk you right to your very first paypal payment page. You're in business!
As a final check you should go through the whole process like a customer. Make sure you go to the right download page and everything is working. If it is, fine. If it isn't, fix it. It could be just a little tiny typo. Work slowly.
Don't worry, any money you pay into your own paypal account is still yours, minus a small fee.
Now, go get some traffic to that page, but not just any old traffic. Get the kind of traffic that wants what you are offering!
Then you really are in business.

5 Content Creation Tips For Your Blog
One of the biggest problems with blogging is to be able to create content consistently that is both useful and helpful. So I am going to share with you some tips for creating content on hot topics your market will find both useful and helpful.
Market Related Forums
Busy forums related to your target market are an absolute gem of a place to find information to write articles on for 2 reasons.
Before I tell you why I must point out the word BUSY, you should be gathering a list of popular forums within your niche anyway because they are useful for so many reasons. Don't waste your time with forums that aren't regularly posted to, I would say a free public forum should be updated hourly at the most any longer than that don't bother.
Back to the 2 reasons, first a popular forum will be full of posts asking How do I .....? or Does anyone know how to....? type questions this tells you what your market wants to know about. Second knowledgable people in your market will make helpful posts and from the feedback/ replies of the other users in the forum you will be able to see what are the hot topics.
If you can't get article/ post ideas from the popular forums in your market then there is seriously something wrong.
Other Blogs
As I mentioned in the forums section above you should be gathering a list of the top blogs targeting your market. Not just for competitive reasons but also for ideas on what works in your niche.
Other blogs can give you an indication of what is hot in your market. This is especially useful if the niche you're in, is something you're not personally interested in, which by the way is something I would advise against for your first blog.
Article Directories
Article directories are another golden source of information for ideas. The thing you should be looking for here is what articles are being read the most. The top directories like ezinearticles.com will tell you the most read and downloaded articles in your category.
This will tell you what topics are hot in your market and they can help you learn how to write a good and informative article.
Google Alerts
Google being the smartest search engine in the world from a marketing/ webmaster point of view has a utility called Google Alerts.
If you're not taking advantage of this great little tool or worse haven't even heard of it I suggest you get yourself over to (URL) after reading this article and find out more.
Google alerts will send you an email with links to stories for keywords you specify on a hourly or daily basis, this is so useful because the quicker you react to big news in your market by publishing a post on your blog the more likely your traffic will increase and your visitors will come to you because you're "in the know" giving you expert status (priceless).
PLR Content
Last we have PLR content or Private Label Rights content. I love PLR because I am not a natural writer, actually I hate writing which can be a big disadvantage on the internet.
PLR is great because you can have pre written articles or ebooks that you can put in your own voice. Granted a lot of PLR is questionable quality BUT I would rather have something to start with rather than a blank notepad file.
You can then put in your own voice and do your research to better the quality which to me is fantastic.
I hope these tips have helped you see how you can get an endless supply of ideas for updating your blog consistenly with quality content your visitors will find both useful and helpful.
Thanks for reading

An Autoresponder Will Give You More Than One Chance!
If you have been looking into making money online for a while now I'm sure you have heard about email marketing and autoresponders.
An autoresponder is that incredible software that builds your list for you and sends out your sequential email messages.
Hasn't everybody in Internet marketing heard the line "The Money is in the list!"
What an autoresponder really does is give you a second chance...and a third chance, and a fourth...
That's it, in a nutshell. Autoresponders can give you dozens of opportunities to sell the same single customer that may or may NOT have purchased from you during their first visit to your site.
Here are the four possible outcomes.
One. The visitor comes to your site and doesn't buy and subsequently leaves. You've got nothing.
Two. Your visitor buys on the first visit, and you made money. But now they are gone. Better than nothing.
Three. They didn't buy the first time but you have their name and email address! You have a second chance to sell them something. Actually more than a "second chance". This is big!
Fourth. The visitor to your page arrives, buys, AND leaves their name and email address! That's the best of both worlds.
Many email marketers will tell you they'd rather have the name and email if they had to choose between a purchase and an opt-in. An opt-in on your list has much more potential than a visitor on your offer page.
The list of your customers, as it grows, is almost the same thing as money in the bank. Your money and growing! You choose how to withdraw it.
I don't know if you have started an online based business yet but I can tell you that there is no time like right now. Why?
Because there is no recession online...only growth. There's room for you. Opportunity abounds.
The only things holding you back are...
1. Deciding you want to do it! This isn't for everybody, but it might be perfect for you.
2. Once you've made that decision, you have to decide HOW you are going to go about it.
You could go for Affiliate Sales, Blogging for cash, niche marketing or any of a number of methods for conducting an online business or just making money online.
But, whatever you do, if you want an actual online business, you really HAVE to have an autoresponder or you'll be leaving a LOT of money on the table. More, actually, than you'll sell in first time sales on your site.
Here is how I manage my list. This is only a list of my rules.
Rule Number One - Don't send very often. I use 4 day breaks, which works out to slightly less than 2 per week. It's also less work for me! I can send better quality.
Rule Number Two - No sales pitches! Give folks information they can use to enhance their efforts and improve their position. Include some links to products, people, and programs that might also improve your subscribers efforts.
Some of those recommendations can be affiliate links (income for you)...but NEVER include affiliate links just for the money. It's creepy and it will show. Bad karma.
Rule Number Three - The Golden Rule. I won't send anything that is not helpful or would bother me if I got it. It's simple.
Those are some of the details of email marketing. No one questions it's efficacy. You really have to have it or you are not an internet marketer.
It's just right for you as a marketer if you use it in a way that mirrors your modus operandi.
My advice? Get it, use it, and be cool. An autoresponder will advance and enhance your business.

The Best Way To Get Into Internet Marketing.
Every day, thousands of people get the idea that Internet Marketing might just be for them. The concept of making money online can be expressed in very desirable vocabulary.
You've seen it. Headlines like "Who Else Wants To Earn $3000 Per Month - In Their Sleep!"
I made that up but it's not far off.
If you are like thousands of other folks trying to get into Internet Marketing, you may be having a hard time getting started. It happens to the best of us.
I'm 60 years old! I've been in business for 35 years! I was, and am, mostly successful. Sure, I had my bad times. Times when I thought the chances of my financial survival were non-existant. I've been depressed and I've been exhilarated.
I have had to learn a lot to get where I am.
A few months back I decided I'd get into Internet Marketing. I've always been in sales so it seems like a natural fit.
But let me tell you what I am most excited about regarding Internet Marketing?
First, it costs you very little to get started, and the ongoing costs are very small.
Second, you can start learning right away.
Third, there is good earnings potential.
Fourth, you can do this from almost anywhere.
All you need is average computer skills, the ability to get online, a little time to apply to the pursuit, and the skills necessary to make it happen. And some money, but not a lot.
Here is the secret to Internet Marketing success. You have to know how.
There it is. The skills. If you don't acquire the skills necessary for success at Internet Marketing you won't be able to do it.
You'll not get there. You won't make money.
It happens, but it doesn't have to happen. You can learn the skills and you can succeed. You can make money online! I still remember the first time I got an email stating that a deposit had been made to my paypal account!
Back in 2007 I enrolled in a school that teaches Online Marketing. When I first got there I knew very little. The first four videos were aimed at giving the newcomers an overview of what Internet Marketing is. They covered the various ways of making money online.
Then the curriculum got down to the basics. I learned those basics and more, including building web pages and starting a blog, to being able to research keywords and niche markets.
That's what I recommend for people who are just starting. Go get the lessons.
Do that. Read up, join a school or forum and learn! I did all three. I'm still learning everyday.
You can do it, too. All you need to do is your homework.

How To Find Affordable Web Site Design in Cardiff
So you want to have a professional design for your website, but you're not sure where to start when it comes to finding affordable web site design in Cardiff South Wales? You are going to find yourself feeling confused .
That's okay. You have every right to be. It's hard to weed out the amateurs from the professionals, the English speaking from the non-English speaking. However, the task is not as daunting as it sounds. You just need to know what to look for when it comes to hiring an affordable web site design firm.
When you start to look for an affordable web site design firm go ahead and search for them on the Internet using a search engine like Google. The websites that pop up at the top of the list is a good place to start, but remember that their idea of affordable may not match yours. Compare these affordable website design companies and don't be afraid to go a page or two deep in the search in your comparison. You may find the perfect company on page four as compared to a company on page one although if they are good they should be on page one !
Another way to find an affordable web site design company is by visiting forums and message boards that deal in web site design. The designers who are really interested in perfecting their craft and helping you out will be hanging out here. Read through the boards and all of the comments that are made to find the ones who seem to be the most helpful and know their business. Check out their profiles, websites, and other references listed to make sure they represent the type of affordable web site design firm that you are looking for.
Rating sites that rate customer satisfaction with affordable web site design providers is another place to look at. These sites rate all sorts of things, not just web designers, so you may find information on something else you need without even trying. Additionally, try using a freelancer service or freelancer company that offers web design. This is another place where people who are in the business and are truly wanting to help hang out.
Whatever affordable web design firm you choose in and around South Wales, make sure you check them thoroughly before hiring them. Don't be afraid to ask for references and get a quote for your work in writing complete with a time line for completion. Ask questions about things you're not sure of or don't understand and make sure you are clear about every aspect of the project and the agreement you are going into before you pay for the work. Never pay for the job up front. Instead put the payment in escrow or pay in stages until the work is done.
While you want someone that is affordable to design your website just keep in mind that cheaper is not always going to be better. You want the company you work with to be professional and to follow your specifications. You can easily find affordable website design in and around Cardiff if you don't mind taking the time to look for it. The right company will pay off for you, and if you like the work they do you'll be more likely to recommend them to someone else.

What You Need To Know About Website Design
So you want to have the best website possible, right? Then you need to understand the basic concepts of website design. Unless your website is simply for fun - or a hobby site - you want to entice your visitors to do something while they are surfing through your pages. Good website design will lay out your site so that it is easy to navigate through, is attractive, and provides you with functionality. In order to help you get your website up and running with the best possible results, you need to understand the concepts behind good website design.
The first key to a productive website is understanding the content that you include in the website. You want to make sure the information you use is reliable and accurate. If you are promoting a product or a business, you need to ensure that it is reputable and that all of your facts are right. You need to make sure that your website is presented as a credible source of information or else your visitors will go find the information somewhere else. Additionally, good website design includes making sure that the text is spelled properly and the grammar is correct. Misspelled words and improper grammar will make your visitors run away.
The next key to website design is making sure your website is compatible with the most popular and most widely used web browsers used today. In order to do that you need use text, graphics, and effects that are recognized and supported by these browsers. If you do not, then your website will not display properly for your visitors and that is another reason why they will move on to someone else's website. Always make sure that your website displays properly in Firefox, Opera, Safari, Netscape - yes, there are still some people using this browser - and, of course, Microsoft Internet Explorer. Always view your website in these platforms before letting it go live to make sure your HTML coding is correct.
What other things do you need to know about good website design? Graphics and photos in your website are great, but unless they have been optimized to a small size without sacrificing the quality of the picture, they are detrimental to your site and not an asset. Not everyone has switched over to broadband or DSL and they are still using dial up to access the Internet. Photos and graphics take time to load, and if yours takes longer than 10 seconds to load then you could lose a visitor. Keep the pictures small and to a minimum, and always use an ALT HTML tag that allows people to turn off the graphics if they need to.
The same goes for background colours, multimedia, frames, and links. A good website design uses colours that all browsers can read. Multimedia - such as flash movies, video clips, and background music - should come with the ability to start and stop as the visitor sees fit, or if they are flash components, visitors should have the option to skip them. Frames are not always supported by your visitor's web browser version, making them frustrating to view. Does this mean that you shouldn't include these items? No. It just means that a good website design will limit how they are used. Only you can decide whether or not these items are integral to your website.
The last key to a good website design is making sure that all of the links you use throughout your site should work and not be broken. You will need to check them every so often to make sure they work and update them as needed. If you follow these suggestions for a good website design, then your website will be the best it can be.

Mine For Real Gold And You Will Make Money Online
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
Avoid the Fool's Gold Of Easy Money
Mine For Real Gold And You Will Make Money Online The Internet is the modern day Gold Rush! In the 1800's people would rush off into the hills to seek their fortunes. Very few made more than the minimum to survive on.
Nowadays people rush to their computer screens and throw money at every conceivable opportunity going - all in an effort to make their fortune. Very few make more than the minimum to survive on! The parallels between these two periods of history are remarkable!
If you are looking for easy ways to earn extra money I would stay clear of online businesses! I would go so far as to say that if you are looking for easy ways to make money anywhere then you will always struggle.
"Easy Money" is a catch phrase used by the slick Internet marketers who want to sell you a dream that is really an illusion. I will say this loudly and slowly - there is no easy money to be had on the Internet or anywhere else.
Think about what you are asking for when you say that you want easy money. Aren't you really saying that you want money to somehow arrive magically in front of you without having to work for it? Ummm! I know it would be wonderful if it happened like that - we would all like to have a personal Golden Goose that kept churning out those golden eggs. But the truth is that life is just not like that.
Unless you are prepared to put the work in first then no opportunity anywhere is going to provide you with easy money. In my work as an Internet Marketer I come across a large number of people who are looking for an easy ride. They are looking to get something for nothing! Or they are looking for me to do their work for them. Although I love to show someone what to do to make money online I will never do the work for them. I would be doing them a disservice if I did.
These are very often the same people who jump from one opportunity to another without actually following anything through. They are attracted to the worthless "Fool's Gold" of modern day hype, with all its promises of instant wealth and easy money.
The fact that fool's gold exists also implies that there is real gold to be had too. And there certainly is. There are some amazing opportunities to make money on the internet - just as there were people who struck real gold years ago, so there are ordinary people who are making large amounts of money online today.
And it is only just beginning too. The numbers flocking to the internet to make money will go up massively over the next few years. Right now is certainly a wonderful time to be involved in Internet Marketing. The current world financial crisis means that many people have to turn to other ways to earn money, either to supplement their main income or to replace a job that has been lost. And where do most people start their search? Looking at online business opportunities!
I love working with people who recognise the difference between "fools gold" and "real gold" and are prepared to put the effort and work in to make it happen. They are not looking for easy money but they are looking to build a lucrative and sustainable business over time.
They will be the ones who will stake their claim to wealth in the future. Make sure that you are part of this new wave of online success stories. Don't be taken in by someone showing you "fool's gold" with promises of easy money - it is worthless. Appreciate that real mining takes planning, time, and energy and you will lay the foundation for a really successful online career.
